STEVE EDDY is a studio executive and producer with 20+ years of experience in the entertainment industry. Steve is currently the Director and Head of Production for Netflix DACH (Germany, Austria, Switzerland) leading the physical production team that manages all German original content created from Netflix’s office in Berlin, Germany. Steve began his career as a production assistant at the age of 19 on the feature film HERE ON EARTH that was shooting in his home state of Minnesota. He completed his BA in Visual Media Arts from Emerson College before moving to Los Angeles where he continued working in the production department for studio feature films and network television programs. In 2008, Steve joined Summit Entertainment where during his tenure, he was part of a team that was responsible for over $600M in production activities that had a return of more than $2B of worldwide box-office success. Steve played a major role in Summit’s most successful projects such as THE TWILIGHT SAGA films, RED, LETTERS TO JULIET, and A BETTER LIFE. Following his time at Summit, Steve joined Michael Eisner’s independent studio Tornante as the Head of Production. Overseeing all aspects of television, feature, and new media production, Steve has also helped create new business opportunities and refined the way the studio did production business. In 2019, Steve was hired to lead the Physical Production team for Netflix independent films, with a team of 20 people, an annual slate of 30+ movies and a total slate value of over $400m per year. He held that role until transferring to Berlin, Germany to the position he holds now. Steve continues his love of producing, working with teams, traveling and storytelling and lives in Berlin with his family. |
